Common period pads may contain harmful chemicals, synthetic materials, and fragrances that can irritate the skin, cause infections, and disrupt pH levels. They're often not breathable, leading to discomfort and health risks, and are environmentally damaging due to plastic, contributing to significant waste.
How is Cloudy different?
We use organic cotton for softness and breathability, anion technology to improve circulation and pH balance, a completely plant-based absorbent core, and a biodegradable cornstarch film for leak protection.
How did I get into this?
A couple of months ago, I experienced the worst period cramps of my life. To be fully honest, I WAS NOT OKAY. In that moment, a thought hit me:
The pads are uncomfortable and ugly.
I knew I had to create my own pads. It started off with mainly aesthetics. However, as I dove deeper into research and testing, I realized there are certain ingredients that should never be in a pad. From there, my focus shifted to something much bigger—protecting women's health.
I dedicate this to my mom and to all the women in the world.

Women's hygienic health is NOT talked about enough! We need better products on the market and companies that are committed to informing women about their hygienic health, empowering them to make informed choices. There’s a lack of open conversation surrounding period care, menstrual health, and overall hygiene, leading to misinformation and unnecessary stigma.
